1. Service provided 'as is'
All software and services (the Testi app, website and notifications service) are provided by Testi Apps Limited
(the company), and are on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis with no warranties of any kind. This does not affect
your statutory rights.
2. Use of third-party services and the DVSA's terms of use
The DVSA's terms of use for its online booking service restrict learners from using bots, third-party
applications, websites or similar tools to search for available test slots. Testi is an independent notification
service, is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA, and does not book, change or cancel tests on your behalf.
By using Testi, you acknowledge and accept that:
(a) the DVSA may regard the use of third-party slot-searching or notification services as a breach of its terms of
use;
(b) the DVSA may, at its own discretion, take action in relation to your DVSA account or booking, which could
include cancelling an existing test booking or restricting your access to online booking;
(c) you use Testi entirely at your own risk and on the basis of your own assessment of the DVSA's terms;
(d) Testi Apps Limited has no control over the DVSA's systems or decisions and accepts no liability for any
cancellation, suspension, block or other action taken by the DVSA in connection with your account, booking, or use
of any third-party service; and
(e) any such action by the DVSA does not constitute a failure of the Testi service and, save for your statutory
rights, is not grounds for a refund.
3. You must be the learner driver
Under the DVSA's terms of use, only the learner driver to whom a driving test relates may book, manage, change,
move or cancel that test, and it is against the law to book or manage a driving test for someone else. The DVSA
may cancel a test that is booked or managed by anyone other than the learner driver.
Accordingly, you may only use Testi in relation to your own driving test. By using Testi, you confirm that:
(a) you are the learner driver to whom the test relates, and you are using Testi solely to monitor and receive
alerts about your own test;
(b) you will not use Testi to search for, or receive alerts about, a test on behalf of, or for the use of, any
other person;
(c) the driving licence number and theory pass or test reference number you provide are your own; and
(d) you remain solely responsible for booking, changing, moving or cancelling your test yourself, directly with
the DVSA.
4. Logging in to check the DVSA
By using Testi, and providing us with your driving licence number and theory pass number or test reference
number, you agree to us to login to the DVSA website with your provided login details and check for driving test
cancellations and new available tests.
5. No affiliation with the DVSA
The company has no affiliation with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Subscription to this
service does therefore not guarantee to find you an earlier test date.
6. We do not book or change your test
We are not responsible for booking a driving test for you, or changing an existing one. We will never change,
book or cancel your booking on your behalf.
7. The correct test date
The correct date of your driving test booking is the one that appears on the DVSA website. The date shown in the
Testi app or on the website might be incorrect in some cases; we don't take any responsibility for an inaccurate
date that might appear there.
8. Best-efforts notifications
When using our premium service, we will check the DVSA website periodically and will send you notifications when we find available earlier test slots in your selected test centre(s). We explicitly do not guarantee that you will receive a notification for every test cancellation that occurs or every available test slot that we detect during our monitoring process. Our notification system operates on a best-efforts basis and various factors may affect notification delivery.
9. Timing of detected slots
When we send you a notification about an available test slot, we guarantee only that we observed this slot as available during our most recent check of the DVSA website (typically within the last few minutes). We do not guarantee that this was the first time the slot became available, nor do we guarantee the exact timing of when the cancellation originally occurred. Test slots may have been available for varying periods before our system detected them.
10. Notification delivery and delays
Notification delivery may be subject to delays due to network conditions, mobile carrier restrictions, device or notification settings, your email provider's filtering or spam handling, internet connectivity issues, or other technical factors beyond our control. We cannot guarantee immediate delivery of notifications and cannot be held responsible for delays in notification transmission that may result in missed opportunities.
11. Slots may be taken
We do not guarantee that any test slot will remain available by the time you receive our notification and attempt to access the DVSA website. Test slots are subject to immediate booking by other candidates, and availability can change rapidly. We do not reserve, hold, or have any control over test slot availability on the DVSA system.
12. Information service only
Our notifications service is an information service only, providing access to an automated monitoring system that alerts you to potential test availability. It does not guarantee test booking success or slot availability upon your login to the DVSA website.
13. Premium account
Our premium (paid) account provides access to our automated notifications service and is tied to your driving
test booking, identified by the driving licence number and theory pass or test reference number you provide. On
the web, your booking is also linked to your email address, which you use to sign in and to receive alerts. On the
mobile app, a premium booking may be used on up to 5 devices simultaneously. You can use premium until you pass
your driving test.
14. Learner driver responsibilities
The learner driver is responsible for turning up to the driving test, taking the correct documents and
ensuring that the car they use is suitable for the test. We cannot be held responsible for any tests cancelled due
to reasons that are the responsibility of the learner driver or their driving instructor including, but not
limited, to the above learner driver responsibilities.
15. Cancellation and refunds
As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you are
entitled to cancel your purchase and request a full refund of your payment, within 14 days from purchase, as long
as the service is yet to begin. The service starts as soon as we start searching for practical tests for you,
which will normally start soon after payment and entry of your preferences.
16. Records of usage
We will record details of usage of the service including, but not limited to, your personal details provided
at the time of taking out the services, search times, dates and times that are found.
17. Sharing your details and alert delivery
By giving us your details you agree to us passing your information to the DVSA in order to check for earlier
tests for you. If you have enabled alerts, driving test alerts will be sent to you by the notification channel
available on your platform — for example, push notifications in the mobile app or email on the web. These alerts
may be delivered through a third-party provider located outside the UK, to which we disclose only what is necessary
to deliver the alert to you. All details will be held by us in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
18. Account use and licence binding
Each account purchased from us can only be used to search for practical driving tests on behalf of the owner
of the driving licence number that is entered in the driving licence number box on the account preferences form.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts without refund where we believe the account is not being used according
to this rule. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before suspending your account.
